In February 1883, a new, four-room school opened on Grey Street – although the front door of the school actually faced Hamilton Road. This school replaced an earlier public school on Colborne Street. That fire was at Dyment-Baker Lumber, on the northeast corner of Bathurst and Wellington Streets. SOHO Community Association - June/July 2021

 It is a time for transition for the SoHo Community Association. James Shelley, who has been serving as the president of the community association since February 21, 2019, is moving out of the neighbourhood and therefore stepping down from the board. Upon his resignation, Jessica Justrabo, who was elected Vice-President on February 21, 2019, has assumed the role of Acting President, effective June 23, 2021. Soho Community Association Board Transitions Jessica will continue to work with Laurie Bursch (Treasurer) and Leia Beland (Secretary) as acting president until such a time as pandemic restrictions allow for community elections to be held safely in order to appoint a new president.
